What I Know and What I Expect

I know this, I don't know much. That is why I am taking this class. What I do know about Germany is what every little good American is taught, Hitler and the Nazi's.

That was mostly a joke.

In relation to Monarchies I know about the English and Russian ones. The German Empire is especially interesting because it is something that is not generally known. We know the big things like the war but we don't study Germany like we do the US or the UK. And it will be amazing to be over seas and have a hands on learning experience in historical places.

Thank You

Goodbye,

Avery

UPDATE:

I have now been registered for the Gothic Literature course as well. What I know is Gothic Literature is not my favorite and frankly it gives me the heebie jeebies. But it is an interesting and complex genre of literature that I believe to be very fascinating and enthralling.

My experiences with Gothic Literature would be from high school, I have read Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley and a couple Edgar Allen Poe works.

All of them I did not particularly enjoy, but however, I did respect the literature and its complexity and artistic values.

  1. Are you not also registered for the Gothic Lit course? At least, I see you on the class list for the Gothic Lit. I hope you find the intersection of the two courses interesting. Given what you outlined above, I think you will find Vienna particularly interesting.
